All, At the GLIF Technical Working Group meeting the attendees reached concensus about the "Global Identifiers Naming Scheme". The format is described in the attached document. In short, it looks like: <Global Identifier> ::= "urn:ogf:network:" <domain part> ":" <local part> The "urn:ogf:network" prefix was chosen at the OGF NML Working Group meeting. An example of a Global Identifier is: urn:ogf:network:netherlight.net:2161le This mail is sent to confirm the decision on this mailing list so that we can start using this naming scheme. Please send your comments, if any, to this mailing list before April 15. rvdp
